Knitted Triforce Scarf by Vidimus78 Knitted Triforce Scarf by Vidimus78
Yeah, this one was taken on my phone. Poor quality abound!

Aaanyway. Knitted scurff-durf for my brosef. We both dig Zelda games, and the vidya in general, and I thought this would be simple enough of a design to fit his simple man-tastes. I assume he likes it, he hasn't really...specified. He's a quiet man.
So this thing took SO LONG. To have the duplicate stitch, and not make your work look like GARBAGE, the back side had to be hidden. So the scarf isn't a rectangle: it is a tube. I worked in the round, basically doubling the amount of work, for like 70-something inches. Then did the Triforce, four gd times >:{ But it was worth it, it looks RAD AS HELL.

Pattern gleaned from ravelry.com, of course.

Conceivably you could try the magic circle method and find a way to knit the two halves together so that you do the Triforce at the same time.

It wasn't knitted as substitution while doing the green. It was done by duplicate stitching, which [like cross-stitching if you're familiar], ends up having a messy backside...unless that's not what you're getting at at all. I'm not familiar with the magic circle.

That probably would have shaved off some time, though.

It is my first love :( I've played and beat every Zelda game, at least 3 times. So yes I am torn ;~;

Nice. I can say the same about Metroid games. Except more like 50 for the SNES one, at least. Oops....

See? Metroid games (which are alright, I suppose ):<), are like Zelda for me :heart: Only I assume there are more Zelda games overall than Metroid. I'm just guessing. Dunno. I have lost count but I know I've played and finished OOT 35 times, I started doing speed runs. lol Skyward Sword only a handful. I guess I'll make my own scarf then D; I haven't gotten a replacement Triforce keychain for my keys in the mail yet...but it'll match nicely. Guess I'll go and do that.

I think there are just a few less Metroid games. I wanna say there are 9 or 10. Zelda I can count maybe a dozen.

Speed runs are the best things. I also like shooting for low % runs, since Metroid games quantify the missile, energy, and other shit expansions you find. It's a grand ol' time.

Sounds like a neat keychain. I want ooone.
